About ShiftLease
Scooter hire built for East London riders
ShiftLease supplies 125cc delivery scooters to riders working across East London. The fleet operates from a secure gated yard and is available for 24/7 contactless collection — no appointment, no waiting.
Riders come from across Barking, Ilford, Dagenham, Stratford, East Ham and Romford. You don't need a ShiftLease site physically located in your own town — one East London collection point serves riders across the whole area.
Delivery and courier riders are a major part of who ShiftLease is built for, but you don't need an active Deliveroo, Uber Eats or Just Eat account already in place in order to apply for a scooter. Many riders complete their platform onboarding once the scooter is secured.
What must be arranged before your first paid shift is appropriate Hire & Reward insurance — the platforms require proof, and standard SD&P motorcycle insurance does not cover delivery work.
Service areas
Areas we serve across East London
ShiftLease riders come from across East London. The areas below reflect where riders regularly collect from our East London yard.
Barking is ShiftLease's primary service area — a large rider population and good access to the East London yard. Riders from Barking town centre, Abbey Road and the surrounding IG11 area collect regularly.
Ilford is one of East London's largest delivery hubs, with a substantial town centre and a high concentration of active riders. Well placed for riders across Barkingside, Newbury Park and South Ilford.
Dagenham sits immediately east of Barking and is a common base for riders covering the Barking and Dagenham delivery area. Close access to the A13 makes collection and return straightforward.
Stratford is one of East London's most active delivery zones — Westfield, the traditional town centre and the Olympic Park area all within reach. See the scooter hire in Stratford page.
East Ham and the wider Newham area connect the Barking/Ilford corridor to the Stratford zone. Riders based in Upton Park, Forest Gate, Green Street and Manor Park are all within practical range.
Romford town centre, The Brewery, The Liberty and wider Havering including Gidea Park, Hornchurch and Harold Wood. See the scooter hire in Romford page.
Collection
One East London collection point, serving riders across the area
ShiftLease operates from a single secure gated yard in East London rather than multiple branches across different towns. Once your application is approved and your deposit is paid, we send you the gate pin and lockbox combination — you collect the scooter at any time, day or night, without needing to meet anyone.
The yard's location is kept private for security until a rider is approved. If you need to know it's in your practical range before applying, message us on WhatsApp and we'll confirm.
The contactless model was built around couriers' hours — early mornings, late nights, weekends — when a staffed office would be unavailable. There is no appointment to book and no time window to fit around.
Returns work the same way: bring the scooter back to the yard at any time once you've given your 7 days' notice. Deposit is returned within 7 days of the bike being inspected.
